Grade 2 WES
Recently, the students in grade 2 have been creating wordles. A wordle is a “word splash” using any word typed into the program. Students adjusted the font style and layout of the wordles and then printed them to take them home. Winter wordles and Valentine wordles were sent home for students to share with their families.

It’s nearing the end of our school year and Mrs. Perkson’s students have had a wonderful time learning about China from their pen pals! They have enjoyed writing and recording messages throughout the year and wanted to say goodbye to their new friends. Please listen and enjoy their final thoughts!

Mrs. Perkson’s friend, Mrs. Cole, is a second grade teacher in China. In the fall, we received our first audio messages from our new friends from the Shanghai American School in Shanghai, China. We enjoyed listening to the greetings very much! It was our turn to respond and, right before the holiday break, we sent return messages all about us to our buddies. For Valentine’s Day, we created rap songs about our buddies using our new iPods and voice recorders. We sent those along to let our friends know just what we thought of them!
